Serena Shelton

Welcome to my page, I hope you’ve enjoyed looking around the website and thank you for taking the time to find out more.

I have always loved photography and the opportunity to capture special moments and memories forever. It brings me so much joy to create beautiful images and see the pleasure that it brings to others. I find it very difficult to look at something and not consider how it would make a great photograph!

Horses have always been a part of my life, my passion for them inherited through my grandmother, mum and auntie. In the picture above is my beloved horse and absolute pride and joy, Disco. I’ve owned him for nearly 4 years and to say it’s been (quite literally) a bumpy ride would be an understatement. However that horse has the kindest soul and he has taught me so much: patience, determination and perseverance (if you’re Surrey based and heard about the horse that galloped 7 miles down the A217, that was him…). I dream of eventing him but to get there we both need to stay sound and find our brave pants…one day! Through my love of horses my photography has naturally taken the equestrian route; there’s something very special about capturing that special bond between horse and rider. Having said that, I love to challenge myself and enjoy a wide range of photography including landscapes, animals, families and children. In my other job as a primary school teacher I have plenty of experience of working with little people!

I am always looking for new challenges and adventures and am a great believer that life is short and you need to follow your dreams and do what makes you happy. I am so passionate about this business and creating beautiful images for others. I live in Surrey, by a beautiful nature reserve and close to the North Downs which I love exploring both on foot and on Disco. I am a risk taker with a love of adventure and am happiest when out and about exploring the world around me. I am a volunteer for Surrey Search and Rescue, a fantastic organisation that is part of Lowland Rescue and when I’m not teaching, taking photos or riding I am often training or on call for them searching for missing people across the county.

Please do get in touch if you would be interested in booking a photo shoot. I travel all over the country and more information can be found on the ‘prices and packaging page’. If I don’t offer quite what you’re looking for please do contact me and we can chat about a bespoke package.
